St. Märgen — at any time of the year

St. Märgen with its old monastery church and clock museum is located about three kilometres from our inn. The climatic health resort of St. Märgen is situated in the midst of the southern Black Forest nature reserve only 20km from Freiburg. A great part of the area spans a plateau covering a difference in altitude from 570 to 1,130 metres and stretching from Mount Thurner in the south with 1,130m above sea level to the eastern foothills of Mount Kandel in the north with 1,241m above sea level.
